Statement of the Fraternal Political Parties on President Thane Sane’s speech on Policies of his new administration.

Dated: April 5, 2011. On March 30, 2011 a new Parliamentary Government had emerged. The leader of the Government President U Thane Sane spelled out the Government Policies and we studied carefully with full attention and issued this Statement for the People of the Union to know our views. 1. We noticed that there are three main sections, viz. political, the economy and national defense in March 30 speech. 2. In political affairs national unity is the determinant factor and it is necessary to build it and the President laid down how to build it. Though there are difference of opinions, but, the door are opened to work together for the benefit of the Union. We believed it is a timely gesture. It is also good for the national reconciliation and if we all opted then the dignity will be revived and the status of the country in the world’s stage will be lifted. 3. In economic sector the President mentioned that while agricultural sector will keep on developing the industrialization will also be implemented. The Market Economy will have less controlled and the Government’s involvement will be reduced. We suggest that as the country is facing with insufficient investment fund, lack of technology know-how, and therefore, in order to have international investment and technology transfers it is pertinent to convince the international community that we endeavor to have good governance as well as we are trying to eradicate corruption. 4. In the health and education sector it stated that there will be cooperation with the international NGOs as well as domestic social organizations; will uplift education standard at par with international standards, peoples’ health program will be econstruct, and the service personal from health and education sectors will be developed. We believe the country’s education standard is, let alone international standards, we are way below Asian standards. If we are to uplift the standards then we need to have long and short terms investments. As for health care sector a large portion of National Income should be utilized if we want to have comprehensive health care program.
